Position Summary
- The Port Hope Medical Walk-in Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our walk-in clinic team on a part-time, casual basis. The NP will provide comprehensive, evidence-based primary care services to individuals with acute and episodic health concerns.
- Key Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with acute or episodic health issues.
- Prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate referrals as needed.
- Deliver patient-centered care that is culturally safe and responsive.
- Collaborate with clinic staff, physicians, and other health care professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient documentation.
Qualifications
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Nurse Practitioner (Primary Health Care).
- Demonstrated experience in primary care, urgent care, or walk-in clinic settings (preferred).
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to patient-centred, compassionate care.
