Walk-In Clinic Nurse Practitioner – Casual Part-Time

Position Summary

  • The Port Hope Medical Walk-in Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our walk-in clinic team on a part-time, casual basis. The NP will provide comprehensive, evidence-based primary care services to individuals with acute and episodic health concerns.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with acute or episodic health issues.
  • Prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate referrals as needed.
  • Deliver patient-centered care that is culturally safe and responsive.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff, physicians, and other health care professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient documentation.

Qualifications

  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Nurse Practitioner (Primary Health Care).
  • Demonstrated experience in primary care, urgent care, or walk-in clinic settings (preferred).
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to patient-centred, compassionate care.

  • Location: 99 Toronto Road, Port Hope, Suite 201
  • Hours: Flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed
