As Northumberland County grows and evolves, so do community needs. CHCN’s Community Expansion fund supports the growth of children and youth programs, community connection initiatives, and innovative new services responding to identified gaps.
From youth drop-ins and skill-building programs, to social prescribing and emerging community partnerships, your gift helps CHCN reach more people, in more places, with meaningful support.
Our Community Health Promoter, Community Health Worker, Community Dietitian and Social Workers work with clients, community members and community organizations to develop health promotion programs, activities and strategies to support a healthy community. We have been establishing relationships and partnerships with a broad range of organizations and individuals.
Our list of services offered will change and grow as the health care needs in this community continue to emerge and evolve. How to Access
Community outreach programs and workshops including diabetes education and support, nutrition education, health education, and lifestyle programs are open to everyone and not limited to those registered as clients of the Centre.
