The Community Health Centres of Northumberland is a non-profit, community-governed organization that provides primary health care, health promotion and community development services using a multi-disciplinary team of health care providers and has a priority focus on those with complex health and/or social challenges.
The Community Health Centres of Northumberland has an opening for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN).
We are seeking an innovative, highly motivated and energetic team player to join our progressive interdisciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to impact the health of individuals, families and the community through health promotion, disease prevention, chronic disease care, and screening. You will be involved in enhanced access, and act as a clinical resource for other team members in a collaborative manner. The Centre uses an electronic medical record.
Participation in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of services for individuals, families and the community would be expected. Other duties could be assigned by the Primary Care Team Lead and/or Clinical Director.
Experience
Applicants must:
- Be prepared at the baccalaureate level of nursing
- Be in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Have experience in a variety of specialties and health-care settings
- Experience in primary care would be considered an asset
- Having additional skills in wound care and venipuncture would be considered an asset
- Have proven leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills
- Must be willing to work flexible hours
- Be willing to provide occasional outreach services
