Full-time Mental Health Registered Nurse (RN)
Salary Range: $68,323 – $74,789 (commensurate with experience)

We are seeking an innovative, highly motivated, and energetic team player to join our progressive interdisciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to play an integral role in the health of individuals, families, and the community.
Responsibilities
- Participation in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of services for individuals, families, and the community including but not limited to:
- Assessing physical and mental health needs of clients both in clinic and in outreach locations as necessary
- Collaborating with the primary care team and the system navigator to make internal referrals to CHC programs and external referrals to community services, including housing
- Case management and participation in formulating care plans with multidisciplinary team members for clients
Network/Liaise with community workers to find and provide care for clients - Provide help with ODSP, CPP, Special Necessities applications as necessary
- Primary care services as necessary- wellness assessments for all ages, immunizations, harm reduction training with management and distribution of supplies
- Run training as necessary for CHC staff
- Implement Wrap Around services
- Resource development
Experience
- Baccalaureate in nursing
- Be in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- RNAO membership an asset and recommended
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a community setting or public health setting and experience in primary care and mental health. Priority given to applicants with formal mental health training/qualifications.
- Familiarity with the Ontario Mental Health Act and Mental Health Reform
- Demonstrated skill and competence to establish supportive, trusting relationships with persons with serious mental health illness with respect for clients rights and preferences
- Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation principles and practices, including and understanding harm reduction and the philosophy of recovery
- Excellent mental health and addictions clinical mental health assessment/interview skills
- Proven leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of community resources for housing, including supportive housing and shelter, as well as, resources for mental health and substance use
- Knowledge of concurrent disorders and experience with the continuum of addiction and recovery services
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in the use of computer technology and various software applications
- Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity to diversity
- Must be willing to work flexible hours
- Be willing to provide outreach services as necessary
- Police clearance documentation will be required for employment
