Movement and Motion – Virtual Program

Designed for community members age 55+, who are wishing to improve their balance and range of motion regardless of their current ability level. Join us virtually as we guide you through a gentle movement class to some music. The program will be led by trained volunteers, who ensure the program is run in a safe manner. Book Club – Virtual

Join us throughout the year as we explore different themes, topics and adventures. This group meets the fourth Tuesday of each month to discuss the books of choice. Book lists for the next meeting will be given out at the end of each book club and posted on our website. Home Alone Course – Virtual

This FREE 2 hour online course will provide youth ages 10-14 with the skills and knowledge that will assist them in being confident about staying home alone. Through interactive online games and activities participants will learn about how to stay safe in various situations. Materials will be provided electronically or can be picked up at our Centre. Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy -Virtual Program

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is a program especially useful in managing difficult, persistent emotions. Kids Have Stress Too!

Kids Have Stress Too!®, is a program designed to help parents and caregivers become more aware of children’s stress, and to help children cope with and develop effective ways of dealing with stress. Nordic Pole Walking – In Person

Community Health Centres of Northumberland 99 Toronto Rd, Port Hope, Ontario

Come out and join our trained Nordic Pole Walking Instructors as they take you on a 30-45 minute walk around the neighbourhood. Participants will be shown how to properly use the poles and will be taken through a series of warm-ups before starting the walk. Please bring your own poles if you have them, we have a few poles that can be borrowed for the duration of the program and will be sanitized before and after each class.
