To provide a positive, welcoming venue where people who have hoarding issues can speak freely and openly, and learn new skills to help themselves cope. The group meets on the second Wednesday of each month. to find out if this group is right for you call 905-885-2626 ext 280.
Throughout the year the CHC hosts themed social gatherings for ladies where we enjoy a chat, a cuppa and some games. Such themes include a fall tea, christmas treats, winter tea and a Canada day party. Registration is required 905-885-2626 ext 280
Diabetes Cooking Workshops are hands-on cooking classes which are offered to those living with prediabetes, type 1 or type 2 diabetes. Each workshop will be conducted by a Registered Dietitian, who is also a Certified Diabetes Educator. to register call 905-885-2626 ext 280
Yoga has many benefits such as increasing flexibility, improving breathing, helping with balance and helping one to live a healthy and stress free lifestyle. Yoga is a floor based program. Beginners - April 6th to June 29th | 10am to 11am | $36 for 12 weeks Gentle Yoga - April 6th to June 29th | 11:15am to 12:15pm | $36 for 12 week (no class Monday May 18th)                                                                                                Gentle Yoga - April 9th to June 25th | 11:15am to 12:15pm | $36 for 12 week Intermediate Gentle Yoga - April 8th to June 24th | 5pm to 6pm and 6pm to 7pm| $36 for 12 weeks
Restorative yoga focuses on relaxation of the mind and body. Bolsters, straps and other props will be used to support the body in various postures which allows one to move towards a state of balance. Mondays April 6th to June 29th (no class May 18th) | $36 for 12 weeks
Join Hetal our GAIN team Pharmacist as she discusses the importance of understanding your medications. She will touch on such topics as how to take medications safely, what questions to ask your pharmacist and challenges with medications.
This after-school program is provided to youth in grades 7 to 12 at the Community Health Centres of Northumberland at 99 Toronto Rd, Port Hope, every Tuesday starting at 2:45pm. This program is offered in partnership with the Municipality of Port Hope, Rebound and the Port Hope Police Services. Tuesday's September 17th 2019 to June 16th 2020 | 2:45pm to 4:30pm
Tai chi is a system of gentle exercise based on the principle of effortless breathing, rhythmic movement and weight balance. It gives attention to muscular strength, flexibility, breathing, relaxation, endurance and mental focusing. April 8th to June 24th | $36 for 12 weeks
