Come out and join our trained Nordic Pole Walking Instructors as they take you on a 30-45 minute walk around the neighbourhood. Participants will be shown how to properly use the poles and will be taken through a series of warm-ups before starting the walk. Please bring your own poles if you have them, we have a few poles that can be borrowed for the duration of the program and will be sanitized before and after each class. This virtual summer program is offered to ages 7 to 10. Plants to Plates is a food education program for children which was developed by the Ecology Action Centre. This program takes a “Plants to Plates” approach, pairing kitchen skill building with garden activities and making connections between how food is grown and how to prepare nutritious, tasty meals. Each week a kit will be provided with all the ingredients needed to participate.
