On September 23rd, CHCN joined our local healthcare partners for the announcement of more than $6.1 million in provincial funding for health services and infrastructure across Northumberland.
The Community Health Centres of Northumberland will receive $189,070 through the Ministry of Health’s Community Infrastructure Renewal Fund to repair and upgrade the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems over the next two years.
Our Port Hope site supports people’s physical, mental and social health and wellbeing. During extreme heat and cold, we also serve as a cooling and warming centre. Reliable air quality and temperatures will make a lasting difference for clients, staff and everyone who walks through our doors – in the near future and for years to come.
We thank the Ministry of Health for this investment, and MPP David Piccini for his ongoing support and advocacy for community health, and congratulations to Northumberland Hills Hospital and Campbellford Memorial Hospital on the funding announced for their facilities.
