The Community Health Centres of Northumberland is a non-profit, community-governed organization that provides primary health care, dental services, health promotion, and community development services using multi-disciplinary teams of health providers.
The Community Health Centres of Northumberland has an immediate opening for a full-time Certified Dental Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Chair-side dental assisting
- Prepare and maintain asepsis of dental operatories as well as equipment
- Knowledge and understanding of IPAC sterilization and infection control protocols
- Providing some clerical services for the Dental Clinic
We deeply value the team approach and appreciate your willingness to be crossed trained to provide support to the front desk when required. Reception duties may include: Greeting patients; answering and returning phone calls; scheduling appointments; maintaining patient records; preparing treatment estimates; entering payments; and assisting with accounts receivable.
Experience
Qualifications
- Successful completion of Dental Assisting (Level II) program from a recognized college
- Minimum 1 – 2 years of dental office experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Energetic and highly motivated
- Great customer service attitude
- Ability to work independently or as a team player
- HARP certification required
