The Community Health Centres of Northumberland is a non-profit, community-governed organization that provides primary health care, dental services, health promotion, and community development services using multi-disciplinary teams of health providers.
The Community Health Centres of Northumberland has an immediate opening for a full-time Certified Dental Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Chair-side dental assisting
- Prepare and maintain asepsis of dental operatories as well as equipment
- Knowledge and understanding of IPAC sterilization and infection control protocols
- Providing some clerical services for the Dental Clinic

Reception duties may include:

- Greeting patients, answering and returning phone calls, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, preparing treatment estimates, entering payments, and assisting with accounts receivable
Experience
- Successful completion of Dental Assisting (Level I or II) program from a recognized college
- Minimum 1 – 2 years of dental office experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Energetic and highly motivated
- Great customer service attitude
- Ability to work independently or as a team player
- HARP certification required
