The Community Health Centers of Northumberland (CHCN) is a non-profit, community-governed organization that uses a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to promote the best possible wellness for the residents of Northumberland County.
General Overview:
The Project Coordinator, under the supervision of the Director of Cooperate Services, will develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate the CHCN tablet project. In partnership with the Community Team, the Project Coordinator will help connect clients to various health promotion programs on a virtual platform.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate, develop, coordinate, and implement the CHCN tablet project.
- Develop appropriate metrics, collect feedback from clients and staff, and analyze the value and sustainability of the project.
- Track project budgets, schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
- Develop a process for loaning, maintaining, and tracking mobile devices.
- Develop policies and procedures surrounding tablet and virtual platform use.
- Provide education, support, and follow-up to clients, staff, and volunteers.
- Collaborate with a third-party vendor on many aspects of the job, such as creating reference guides and resources on how to use virtual platforms.
- Engage with CHCN teams and partner organizations to introduce the tablet project.
- Develop a community program advisory team to assist with new program ideas and welcoming new participants to programs.
Experience
- Education in Business, Communications or related field, or 2-3 years of equivalent. experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in technology i.e. mobile devices and virtual platforms (training will be provided).
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Project coordination experience an asset.
- Current post-secondary students are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to easily attend off-site meetings, travel to satellite locations, conduct home visits, and participate in community engagement activities (valid Ontario driver’s license and the use of a vehicle highly recommended).
- Subject to a police reference check as per organization policy.
Project Coordinator
Salary: $21.00 per hour
Contract/Hours: 27 weeks, 18 hours per week
Anticipated start date: May 31st 2021
