The Community Health Centres of Northumberland (CHCN) is a non-profit, community-governed organization committed to the wellness approach to health care that is delivered within an inter-professional team. Through innovative programming and integrated clinical services, the CHCN promotes and enhances the physical, emotional, psychological, environmental, and economic well-being of the people it serves.

The Community Health Centres of Northumberland is currently seeking a Dentist to work in its recently renovated clinic, which includes three operatories with new state-of-the-art equipment.

This position will suit an individual interested in providing dental care to target populations of the CHC, namely those on low or fixed incomes, frail elderly, youth at risk, and those suffering from mental health and addiction problems.

The CHCN’s dental program has been in operation for over eleven years and partners with other local health and social services organizations to provide care to those who face barriers to accessing healthcare.

Service Responsibilities

The CHCN is looking for a dentist to work 1 – 5 days per week, dependent upon availability. Duties to include:

Experience

The Community Health Centres of Northumberland dental team consists of dental assistants, dental hygienists, and dentists. The program is co-located with other programs within the CHCN, such as primary care, diabetes education, health promotion programming, and counselling.
