SUMMARY:Every Child Matters Walk
DESCRIPTION:Please check back soon for full event details. \nThe annual “Every Child Matters” Walk will take place in Alderville First Nation on September 30\, 2026 in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This meaningful community event honours Residential School Survivors\, remembers the children who never returned home\, and provides an opportunity for collective reflection and learning. CHCN is proud to participate and welcomes community members to join us as we walk together in the spirit of truth\, remembrance\, and reconciliation. \nAs part of CHCN’s commitment to Truth and Reconciliation\, we are ensuring that all of our staff members and board members have completed Indigenous cultural sensitivity training. This learning will strengthen our understanding of Indigenous histories and experiences and support the delivery of culturally safe\, respectful and equitable health care. \nWe encourage our community to learn more about the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action – particularly Calls 18–24\, which address health and health care: \nExplore the Calls to Action through the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation
